Needless to say, when selling these types of instruments, a few items of variable quality starts building up. This page will be used to sell items that can't or shouldn't be sold for new. Everything on this page is as is and described that best I can. They may be a return, dented, out of tune, etc and again read the description. Think about using these for craft projects such as making lamps or as an interesting wall display. EVERYTHING IN THE GARAGE IS AS-IS NO RETURNS CAVEAT EMPTOR ETC:

This is the Kanstul (USA) made Besson 709 as described elsewhere on this site. I have two of these horns in the shop. One got dinged in shipping...the other was dinged somewhere from factory to here. Repaired by a master brassman...good luck finding the injury...but still can't be sold as new. Save Save Save. Even though this item is in the garage sale you can return less shipping and 20% restocking fee. 7 Days for evaluation.
Besson 709 Trumpet Dent Repaired $399 + $15 S&H
The manufacturer's US QA Specialist is VERY particular when it comes to evaluating horns. Most of the Centennial bugles in the garage have almost invisible defects and 100% play well. Even though this item is in the garage sale you can return less shipping and 20% restocking fee. 7 day evaluation. However these do have minor manufacturing and/or shipping issues. No Playability issues! May have small dings, etc. Some of these might be the earlier Prototype of the Centennial bugle, which may have some changes in markings on the horn
WISEMANN POCKET TRUMPET - Scratch and Dent
Okay, here's a fun little novelty item. 1st off, a pocket trumpet IS NOT a piccolo trumpet which is pitched an octave above. This is a regular sized trumpet where the tubing is bent more so that it fits into a smaller size. There are several of these on the market. Most of them are cheap e-bay/generic specials. Those are cute, but the play is rather toyish. I had a generic one, but when I had a chance to play this one, I found out it was an order of magnitude better..bigger tubing, better valves, MUCH larger bell and greater playability approaching that of a regular trumpet. This is the large bell DPT-400, Even the Canadian Brass sells this horn on their website for $319. I found this horn great for travel being able to place it in the "carry on luggage" (With the commuters you checked it at plane side). Okay, I once had to entertain the TSA agents who just HAD to see what popped up on their x-ray! It does have pack straps so it's great for the bicyclist, scuba diver, or sky diver (okay maybe just the cyclist).
I was able to pick up some under "Scratch and Dent" and will pass on the savings to our Scoutbugle.com customers. These horns are NEW but got dinged up in transport...doesn't affect playing but offers a HUGE saving. Might have glitches in finish and/or case.
Even though this item is in the garage sale you can return less shipping and 20% restocking fee. 7 day evaluation.

Jupiter Brigadier Bugle Damaged in shipping.
This fellow didn't go far, two states away...but what I thought was a VERY well packed bugle from the factory met a genius at the USPS who figured on the best spot to use the packaging against the horn. In this case the LATERAL Styrofoam got hit and pushed the tubing into the bell from the side. So the bell is pushed in a bit, but given the location and shadows I wasn't able to capture in a picture. It still plays great, and no one can see it from a distance of a foot or so away when you're playing....So save money on a great horn. Horn and MP only, no case or gig bag on this one so it's low, low price.
Note on Painted bugles - These were an experimental run of bugles designed for the young player. The paint was supposed to be a tinted lacquer but it's more like they were dipped in a can of Rustoleum. Some of the paint might be chipped away, and the plastic bag they came in sorta of melted a little bit onto the finish. Anyway these are full size G-F bugles, which completely failed play test. Would be great in a flower display for the holidays. If you need several let me know the zip code destination to really refine the best shipping price. I have a about 20 of these bugles left. We get e-mail asking if we have mouthpieces to go with this bugle or that bugle. I can't assure you that mouthpiece "A" goes with instrument "B" but I do have a few "laying around" so if you want one, $7.50 includes postage for one or $10/for two. will get you a couple to try out. these MIGHT be slightly used, though I do have a supply of new ones. Not the easiest thing to photograph due to the size, but here goes (note Earl and Jules fighting over the mouthpiece) Mouthpiece sent may vary from picture. No returns on these. THERE IS NO ASSURANCE THAT THESE MOUTHPIECES WILL WORK WITH ANY PARTICULAR BUGLE, EVEN ONE'S SOLD BY US...THESE ARE SOLD AS "GIVE IT A TRY, MIGHT WORK ONLY"
NOTE: WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE FOR OUR Centennial BUGLE, AMATI OR BRIGADIER BUGLE. THESE ALL TAKE STANDARD TRUMPET MOUTHPIECES. CLICK HERE FOR A TRUMPET MOUTHPIECE.
